Final Reflection.
I have gained so much from this course. I had no idea the importance of graduate school, and upon entering this course, I didn’t feel like graduate school was very important. How true it is, that ignorance really isn’t bliss! I really thought that I could teach at a college level with a Bachelor’s degree… Little did I know.
But now I do! I saw the pros and cons of graduate school, and all the ways it can benefit someone who’s looking for a job. I’m actually considering graduate school now! I am also looking into internships and other classes I can take to further my education. I am really excited for my life now, and I really enjoy all the classes I have taken thus far. I also plan on taking higher-level courses as well. This course has inspired me to achieve a lot more than I thought I ever could!
The Writing Arts program has taught me a lot so far. Even though this is my first semester at Rowan, I have learned a lot. I’ve learned a whole new way of thinking and applying myself as well as new forms of reading and writing. I really enjoy this program and I’m excited to continue on in these courses.
This class specifically has given me the key elements in finding a job, grabbing that job, and keeping that job. As any other student has, I was nervous during our mock interviews and I tried my best to answer the questions effectively. The class definitely taught me the essentials of the job fields with hands-on experience and I really benefited from that immensely. I will take the things this class has taught me and use them for the rest of my life.
I am minoring in Education, and these key points have also directed me to use these things in my teachings, observings, and my every day job-hunting life. In teaching the older students, which are in high school, giving them my now-gained knowledge of finding a job makes me happy to share it with them. That’s one of the joys of teaching. I enjoy sharing the things I have learned with the youth. They look up to college students and they need some positive reinforcement in this day and age.
This class has prepared me for the job field. Outside of teaching, this class is a great class to prepare you for communicating with people whom you have never spoke to. It’s a great class to break out of your comfort zone in and get acquainted with other students who have similar interests. It’s great preparation for a job interview or broadening your horizons in the educational field or the work force. I really have nothing bad to say about this class! It has taught me so much and I am so glad I could be privileged enough to take it! I will miss my classmates and my professor, but overall I will take with me the most important thing: the tools to succeed. So thank you for giving me those tools.
